Welcome to Watnall Women's Institute (WI)
Who Are We?
The hall where we meet
Watnall WI was first formed in 1927 and we meet at our own hall, The Victoria Institute, Main Road, Watnall, Nottingham NG16 1HS, on the third TUESDAY of the month at 7.15pm.
We have monthly speakers on varied topics, we sing Jerusalem, we are interested in crafts, theatre, film, cinema, singing, dancing, books, keep fit, cookery, poetry, quizzes, games, coffee mornings and much, much more. And we have the opportunity to enjoy lots of other activities outside of our monthly meetings, including visits to National Trust and other historical properties or places of interest.
On our website you will find our Current Programme covering our monthly speakers and activities, from musicians to wine tasting, from poetry to discussing the latest National WI Resolution. We also run a monthly Craft Group as well as a Lunch Club. There’s something for everyone so do come along and give us a try, whether you live in Watnall or the surrounding area (there is no postcode restriction).
You can also look in our Gallery at photographs of us taking part in WI events and activities.
